Cinemablographer is a Canadian film blog written by Pat Mullen. Pat began Cinemablographer in 2010 as a writing exercise before going off to pursue a Master's in Film Studies at Carleton University in Ottawa, where his studies focused on adaptation and Canadian cinema. Pat strives to cover Canadian film in the National Capital area and situating CanCon within the larger beat of world cinema, independent film, and Hollywood popcorn.

Pat also dabbles in the awards races and enjoys covering film festivals such as TIFF, Hot Docs, and the Ottawa International Animation Festival, among others. Pat is also a programmer at Ottawa's Cellar Door Film Festival, and has contributed to Point of View, the Canadian Encyclopedia, the Online Film Critics Society, Couch Assassin, and Awards Daily.

*Cinemablographer.com prefers coverage with tangible Canadian content.

**Please note that Cinemablographer.com currently doesn't cover films at the financing/crowd-sourcing stage due to the volume/sameness of requests.

***Cinemablographer is happy to cover short films if they are screening at festivals including, but not limited to, TIFF, Hot Docs, OIAF, OIFF, Cannes, Canada's Top Ten, and Sundance, or are nominated/shortlisted at the Canadian Screen Awards or Oscars.
