Where to See the Oscar Nominees in Ottawa

There is exactly one week until the Oscars are handed out February 22nd! It’s been tricky to see all the nominees this year since the ceremony’s happening a full ten days earlier than it did last year, but try to cross off on as many of the nominees as you can to have an advantage in your annual Oscar pool. I’m in Summer-Movie-Mode, catching up on nominees I missed this summer like Guardians of the Galaxy (I think this is the fun campy excess to which Jupiter Ascending so disastrously aspires) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier (decent, but it can’t compare in the VFX department if watched back-to-back with Guardians). Both these movies okay, but are probably a lot better on the big screen. Fortunately, though, the back-loaded awards bunch 2014 means that contenders are mostly still in theatres, so there’s still a chance to see many of the nominees as they were meant to be seen: in a theatre. Here’s where you can catch the Oscar nominees in Ottawa:



American Sniper
